The recognition by all the European nations of the unprecedented character of Holocaust and acceptance of making it a common European narrative remains a major issue.
In 2013, the Shoah Memorial wishes, by a serial of academic events, to commemorate the year 1943 and the Holocaust in South-East Europe. Within this framework, the Shoah Memorial intends to give the floor to historians working on the fate of Jews in Bulgaria, and in countries and territories under Bulgarian State administration during World War II.
In order to make your visit easier, buses from the Shoah Memorial in Paris to the new Memorial in Drancy will be available every Sunday until July 28th included. Departure at 2 pm.
Â
The Center of Contemporary Jewish Documentation (CDJC) continuously gathers documents, photographs, books and magazines related to the fate of European Jews during the Second World War and to the history of the Jewish community before and after the Shoah.Â
For the benefit of a growing number of English-speaking visitors, the Shoah Memorial is organizing on the second Sunday of every month, a guided tour in English, free of charge. Start of the tour at 3.00 pm in the lobby. Prior reservation is not required.
